Nearly Finished House Pictures

As Bryan and I are now back in PA, I am finally posting pictures of the house in it's nearly finished state.
We literally moved in a few days before packing and driving back to PA for Bryan's work.  We will enjoy getting organized and more fully moved in when we return to Idaho at the end of September.
Enjoy the pictures!

Arrived in Idaho Memorial Day.

We're here!
(Where we are living in Idaho is actually the Mountain Time Zone, which is  2 hours behind Eastern Time.  However, we entered Idaho this trip via the Lewis & Clark Passage Route which is farther North.  That part of Idaho is in the Pacific Time Zone.)

Our house is actually not finished yet.  Yet Bryan and I both agreed that it was time for us to be living together in the same state by Memorial Day...so we are living in our RV for a few more months while the house is finished. My rabbits are all moved into the garage up at the house, so I'll be going to the house frequently to care for the rabbits and Bryan will resume work on the house.

We left PA on May 19 with my younger brother, Joe, who joined us for the journey west...along with our two dogs, and seven angora rabbits and "Jed Clampett" piled trailer with rabbit cages and remaining belongings. We toured the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum in Knoxville, Iowa; Old Market in Omaha, NE; Mt. Rushmore + Wind Cave National Park + Custer State Park in South Dakota; Cody, WY and Yellowstone National Park leaving through the West Gate of  Yellowstone Park...staying the night in Ennis, Montana and driving into Idaho by way of the Lolo Pass which was the Lewis & Clark route into Idaho.  Beautiful drive to our RV spot in Cambridge, Idaho arriving about 8 p.m. Mountain Time on Memorial Day.  The balance of this week has been spent getting the rabbits settled into their bigger cages in the garage of the house (after spending a week in tiny travel cages) and getting settled into the RV for this final phase of building finishing.  We also spent time in showing Joe around the area. Bryan and Joe took a 3 hour jet boat ride down the Snake river in Hell's Canyon while I worked at settling/moving into the RV once again. We anticipate a couple of months until the house is move in ready.  (Time is the price you pay when you build a house without bank help.  I believe it will be well worth the sacrifices once we're finished.)

Here are a few updated pictures of the house.  Interior shots will be posted as the fireplace, floors, kitchen and bathrooms are completed.    We are hoping that by August the wood siding will be hung on the garage exterior, and stone will adorn the exterior of the laundry room which separates the main log house structure from the garage.

For now, here are a few pictures.

Spring 2013 Log House Building Progress Pics

Bryan just sent me some new photos of progress on the house.  Here are some of the updates.
One week until I get to go see it "live".  Can hardly wait!  I'll get to pick my appliances and light fixtures etc.
Yeah! Bryan and the crew are working hard and it's coming together.  PTL!  Rejoice with us.
